Epic Capital Management Inc. is a boutique alternative asset manager. The firm was established in 2000 in Toronto, Ontario and has consistently offered investors a unique alternative to traditional mutual and exchange traded funds.
Our Canadian emphasis is premised on the extensive experience and relationships we have built here in Canada over our careers. We believe the knowledge we have gained by investing with dozens of Canadian management teams over numerous business cycles is invaluable, difficult to replicate, and is a key part of our success. By defining our investment landscape and focusing on what we know well, we believe we offer investors the best possible way to get exposure to the Canadian market.

David Fawcett | MA, CFA
FOUNDING PARTNER
David founded Epic Capital Management in 2000 and has delivered exceptional absolute and relative performance for nearly two decades across numerous investment strategies. He has over 20 years of Canadian capital markets experience. Prior to founding Epic, David spent over 5 years on the sellside, including time as an oil and gas research analyst at Deutsche Bank Securities and First Marathon Securities.

Sean Bouwers | MFin, CFA
ASSOCIATE PORTFOLIO MANAGER
Sean joined Epic in early 2017 to provide equity valuation and investment recommendations with a focus on the hedge fund strategies. Prior to Epic, Sean completed internships at Sino Global Capital, an investment bank based in Beijing, and at DLL, an asset backed financing firm managing $42 billion globally. Sean has a Bachelors of Business Administration from Brock University, and a Masters of Finance from Queen’s University while studying at Renmin University of China.
