Epic Capital Management Inc. is a boutique hedge fund with a proven track record of success. Epic was established in 2000 in Toronto, Ontario and has carved out a unique niche in the Canadian Alternative Investment space. Presently, Epic manages two funds: the Epic Opportunistic Fund and the Epic Income Fund. David Fawcett - Founding Partner and Portfolio Manager
David has over 15 years of Canadian capital market experience. David is the founder of Epic Capital Management Inc. and has been   CEO for the past 10 years. David has managed upwards of $350 million of assets accross four different funds. Prior to working as a hedge fund portfolio manager, David spent over 5 years on the sellside, including a position as an oil and gas research analyst at Deutsche Bank Securities and First Marathon Securities. He also holds an MA in Economics and is a CFA Charterholder.

Scott Kaplanis - Partner and Associate Protfolio Manager
Scott has over 7 years of Canadian capital market experience. Scott joined Epic in early 2008. Prior to joining Epic, Scott worked as a research analyst at Macquarie Capital Markets Canada Inc., a division of the global investment bank, Macquarie Group Ltd. Scott’s background spans a variety of industries including energy services, industrial, transportation, environmental and infrastructure services. He is also a CFA Charterholder.

Sandra Simovic - Fund Administrator
Sandra has over 8 years of experience in the Canadian hedge fund industry. Sandra joined Epic in June 2004. She is responsible for managing office operations, client communications, financial reporting, and fund administration. Her experience and focus in the industry has been in the Trading, Accounting, and Compliance areas. Sandra holds a degree in civil engineering and is currently working toward becoming a CGA.
